TTeock Guck is a bowl of sliced-rice-cake soup
that is symbolic food of New Year's day in Korea ! :)
There is a myth that we get one year older by eating Tteock guk on the New year's day.
So, someone refuses eating it to stay young ;) (for joke)
This is home food, so If you want to taste it, come over to my house 🏡
Or, you can find the food at "Kimbab"-selling restaurants such as "Kimbab cheonkook(김밥천국)", "Kimbab nara(김밥나라)", or, some beef BBQ restaurants over the country.
Main ingredient is, obviously, sliced round rice cake. Additional toppings are fried egg, dried sea weeds, ground beef and so on. Formally they are chopped or sliced evenly for better displaying.
